So we make every effort to make sure each of our patients knows the few simple (and highly effective!) techniques in dental hygiene instruction for keeping the gums and teeth clean.
Back to basics!
Our basic the oral hygiene instruction teaches each patient how to brush the teeth. Sounds too simple? Well, it is simple. Really. But unless you use that brush effectively in your daily brushing, you might not be removing the plague that causes decay, gum disease and bad breath.
Coupled with brushing, correct and daily flossing is the rock foundation for good oral health. That is why the dentist and the hygienist stress both in our oral hygiene instruction.
If you know how to brush the teeth correctly, and you also learn how and why to floss from the dentist and hygienist, you can eliminate the majority of the dental problems that plague many of us. That's why our oral hygiene instruction is such an important part of our office.
Video system
In addition to oral hygiene instruction, our doctor and hygienist also employ a video system that in minutes thoroughly shows and explains complex dental topics. So when patients have questions on procedures — from the simple to the very complex — our 3rd party video system explains them simply and quickly (each video is only a few minutes long).
